Personal Biography:I am a licensed attorney who has jumped into freelance legal work, enabling me to step out of traditional private practice and into a more flexible environment where I can travel. During my tenure in private practice, I helped run a small law firm. I served as the associate attorney to 2 partners. My main boss, the head partner, expected me to know every detail of her cases (and I did) - often over 100 pending at one time. Because of the small size of the firm, I also helped run the day-to-day tasks of the office. I returned client phone calls, emailed and coordinated meetings and trial dates, drafted motions and orders, and even submitted discovery requests. I developed a niche in discovery and procedural matters, and would argue them before the court. Then, I became adept at drafting orders, as I was often the victor.
